The 'Millstätter Lichtweg im Advent' invites you to take an inspiring walk, at the Millstatt lido. Guests young and old have the opportunity to send their wishes with a boat on the emerald green of Lake Millstätter See every day and artistically interpreted light torches show the way to the open restaurants.

This year, for the first time, a particularly wistful chapter will be told on the newly designed Millstätter Lichtweg during Advent. It leads through a historic park and the village center to the picturesque lakeshore. The story, written especially for this trail, interweaves the ancient times of the Knights of St. George with the venerable history of Millstatt Abbey and the timeless encounters in the here and now.
Embark on a wintry journey from one place of longing to the next with one big goal: to perhaps find yourself in the end. With the audio guide on your own cell phone, you can experience the musically enriched Christmas story in stations at any time. Simply scan the QR code and set off on your way. But there's more! Listen with rapt attention as the 750-year-old linde tells a fantastic story of fairies, goblins and mermaids. This is where the magic of Christmas that we remember from our childhood awakens.

From 02.12. - 06.01.2023, guests of all ages can send their wishes with a boat on a daily voyage at the Millstatt am See lido.
Their personal Advent message is written on the sails and carried out onto the water accompanied by glowing candles. Lake Millstätter See is transformed into a sea of lights and peaceful wishes. With warming drinks and pre-Christmas delicacies, the special charm of the Christmas season comes to life during sensual Seeberührungen®.
You can stop by Franzis Treff on three Advent Sundays: 03. & 10. & 17.12.2023 from 3:00-6:00 pm.
Millstatt am See tourist office, Badehaus Millstätter See (during opening hours) or directly on site at the Millstatt lido (Sundays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm).

Our winter cruise MS Porcia glides gently over the calm, cold waters of Lake Millstätter See - the elegant saloon is heated to a woolly warmth, listening to the words of our captain Franz with mulled cider and apple punch - this is how you experience the lake in the quiet season! The atmosphere on board is calm, relaxed and laid-back, but you can still enjoy the stunning natural scenery with snow-covered mountains in the background.

From November 30, the Christmas village opens in the spa park with an ice-skating rink, traditional arts and crafts and regional cuisine.
On the Advent path to the little church of St. Kathrein, a Holy Mass with musical accompaniment takes place every Saturday. In the Christkindl post office, young guests can write wish letters or make their own Christmas decorations in the Advent workshop.
