To the geographical centre of Millstätter Alpe The Millstätter Almstraße (toll road) leads from Tschierweg, in the municipality of Millstatt am See, to the final car park at the Schwaigerhütte. From there, the Millstätter Hütte and Alexanderhütte can each be reached on foot in 30 minutes. The 1.5-hour Sonnwiesen circular trail, which is suitable for prams, connects all three refreshment stops. All three huts offer authentic hut cuisine in which only regional food is used. A visit to the petting zoo at the Millstätter Hütte is recommended for children. Lovers start their hike to the Granattor on the "Weg der Liebe. Sentiero dell ámore.", at the Alexander Hut. Tip: Connoisseurs start the tour with a Nockmobil ascent and can be picked up again at the nearest toll road after a half-crossing of the Millstätter Alpe.
