Castle Schloss Porcia & Folk culture museum
Porcia Castle offers 1001 possibilities to understand and experience the culture from past times on two floors. "Taking part is admitted!" is the magic word against boredom. The Folk Culture Museum with its 47 thematic sections is among the largest museums within the alpine area. The "Carinthian Panorama - It’s at my feet!” can be found in the museum: a high-resolution aerial photo of Carinthia on a scale of 1:10,000 gives viewers the feeling that they are hovering 10,000 metres above Carinthia. Using special magnifying glasses, visitors can go on a journey of discovery. A multitude of interactive and informative tools stimulate the visitor to engage in intensive study of the precious wet element.

GRANATIUM - on the trail of a fascinating prescious stone
Only a few minutes' walk from the centre of the town, you can find a new world of adventure in the Garnet Gorge, with the "stone of love and passion".

On the trail of old miners, you will be swept away into the realm of the precious garnet stones in the Nock town Radenthein. Visitors of the GRANATIUM Garnet Centre will learn everything worth knowing about the carbuncle.
You can search for garnets on the garnet-prospecting grounds. The stones you find can then - just as you like - be fashioned into jewellery gems or other souvenirs, either by yourself or a professional.

Experience the Middle Ages first-hand at the Sommeregg Castle
The largest torture museum in Central Europe is open from April to October in the knight's hall of Castle Sommeregg (near Seeboden). More than 100 exhibits,
which are true to the original and complemented by scientifically elaborated texts, document the Medieval and early Modern Age history of law. Every year inAugust, the castle turns into a medieval microcosm. Centre stage is taken by the Medieval market, which was designed with great attention to detail and where seemingly long-lost handicrafts are revived. Among other things, glass sculptures are blown and silver jewellery is produced in front of the eyes of amazed visitors. A further highlight are the medieval games, in which knights have to prove their skill and courage in a tournament.

Roman Museum Teurnia
Teurnia was one of the largest cities in the Noricum Empire. At its height, the city had a population of 30,000. The ruins of ancient Teurnia are in Lurnfeld am Holzer Berg in the St. Peter in Holz District of the Borough of Lendorf. People settled at the Holzer Berg Mountain as early as 1100 BC. The Roman city came into existence at around 50 AD, along with its forum, market basilica, Capitolium temple, thermal baths, living terraces, and the temple of Grannus, the Celtic god of healing. Today, it is possible to experience the history of the city and Roman
culture in the Teurnia Museum between May and October.
