For those interested in sport fishing, Lake Millstätter See offers one of the most varied ranges of fishes. There are no limitations to your fishing opportunities beside your own skills, experience and your desire, as long as it is in accordance with the regulations of the Carinthian fishing laws.

Fishing at Lake Millstätter See
The fishing permit (day and week-long tickets) together with the tax card and a deposit of 14 € allow for fishing form the shore and boat in the fishing waters of the Lake Millstätter See Fishing Association. The tourist office advises visitors on where fishing is permissible from the shore. The fishing season stretches from 1 March to 15 December - please observe the close seasons for the respective fish types.

You receive the fishing permit in the tourist offices in Seeboden, Millstatt, Döbriach and Ferndorf.
